I spent one week out of summer for three years at Youth Camp, and I'm one of the people who actually enjoy being at a summer camp. It was fun, it wasn't home, it came with water slides and a pretty good illusionist...
...anyway, the year that stands out the most (the one with the illusionist), we had a girl in our cabin who decided to wake up everybody, every single moring with flipping the lightswitch and saying "Wakey, wakey!". Every. single. Day.
I am not a morning person. I decided it was just sadistic enough to include as the line for a random guard type person with a pretty big gun. And no, I did not hurt "wakey" girl, though I was sorely tempted to by day three of the week.
Again, art wise, neither proud nor not proud with this page. Blah, really.
News: I'm 80% sure that the rolling blackouts Houston's having from Rita is why my cable has been blinking on and off. I repeat last weeks rant about the stupidity of pushing a cable-phone serivce for a YEAR and then not making UNINTERRUPTED service a priority over...whatever the heck it is the cable company has made priority. I haven't woken up to functional cable ONCE this week. I know, I know...we had a hurricane, people are going without power now, I shouldn't complain. And yet every time I glance at the modem and see that the only two lit lights are the "power" light and the blinky one that doesn't really signify anything at all, I start wondering what the heck the people WHO NOW HAVE NO PHONE are doing if they have an emergancy or something.
Grrrr...
Note to self: NEVER GET CABLE PHONE!
Also: NANO ALERT! NANO ALERT! National Novel Writing Month is almost only four weeks away! You know what that means!
...oh wait, you don't? Sorry. National Novel Writing Month (Called NaNoWriMo, NaNo or WriMo) is an annuel EVENT where participants AKA insane wanna-be-writers get together online and try to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. It's fun, it's insane, it's what I live for every november. THIS year I'm even going to remember to put the cool button on my site when it comes out. They've shut down for a pre-NaNo clean up, but the second it's up again the NaNoWriMo forums are my home away from home for the next two months.
(And speaking of FORUMS...still the same two wonderful people. Would like to see more. Please)
Ok, that's it for today. See ya'll Tuesday.
