What? I never promised it would be TOTALLY devoid of soap-opera-y. Ish. Ness.
...and the green and purple is still evil.
In Other News:
Ya'll may or may not know it, but I keep a fairly close eye on the stats for this site. A nice popularity spike does wonders for my self esteem. Well, yesterday we broke 300 readers. Considering my next goal with this thing was to hit 200 (aside from the obvious, moving the story along before Lucy dies of aingst related health issues), I'm pretty happy with that.
So biiiiig welcome to the new readers and the not-so-new readers. Maybe NOW the forum will start to see some use...
(Please? pretty please? With cute puppies and kittens?)
And as for other stuff...I've decided to go ahead with a dead tree version of Blue Skunk. Now comes the next round of fun stuff: Finding a printer and finding the money to do it. The money will be hard...ish (as there's not much of that around here) but the printer, as it turns out, is the hard part. I don't want to have to charge an awful lot of money for it. Yes, I know about the online printers. Comixpress is good and has the price to beat. Lulu.com is evil. However, what I really want to do is find a local printer to do the thing and then do the cutting and binding work myself, which would make it cheaper all around. And so far, no local printer who does non-commerical printing has turned up. Admittedly, I'm only looking at the ones with websites. I haven't started thumbing through the phone book just yet, as I'd like to have a finished...ish...project before I started asking for price quotes.
Well, that's the update for this week. Ya'll are the BEST READERS EVER.
...now if I can just get ya'll into the forum, we'll be set...
See ya'll next tuesday!
